About Sajatscharte to Sajathütte

Übergang Sajatscharte Time: 3 1/2 Std.

 

Request: Medium, Footedness necessary, Vertigo advantage.

 

Route: Next to the hut east of the marked way in some switchbacks up to a striking stone man. From there through beautiful alpine meadows to the junction Zopetscharte. Continue down the valley, about a block terrain and steep rock slope to Schernesrinne. This quickly as possible to overcome Sajatscharte (Rockfall). The descent from the saddle first fitted with a safety rope rather steep, then equal to the flattening Sajat Hut.

About Zopetscharte to Eisseehütte

Time: 3 until 4 Std.

 

Request: Medium, Footedness necessary.

 

Route: Next to the hut east of the marked way in some switchbacks up to a striking stone man. From there through beautiful alpine meadows to the junction Sajatscharte. Continue east along the foothills of the Zopetspitze to Zopetscharte (ca. 2 1/2 Hours). The first 20 provided minutes from the saddle down to the very steep and narrow Timmeltal with safety rope (often in early summer snow fields). The rest easier path to Eisseehütte.

Transitions over to the Essen-Rostock Türmljoch Hut

Übergang Türmljoch Time: 3 until 4 Std.

 

Request: Easy transition, also good with children.

 

Route: From the cottage on Locust Zettalunitzbach, short uphill and west of the village of Erbach. The rocky Aderkamm right deal fairly steep and west to Türmljoch (2790 m) up. The increase is marked with cairns. From the west via Türmljoch felsdurchzogene some passages down to the valley bottom of the Maurertals. Over a bridge and down the valley to the Essen-Rostock-hut.

Venice Crest Trail

The St. John's Lodge is a base on the Venice-Ridgeway, a great landschaftich, about 100 km-long trail from the St. Polten hut on Felbertauern to the Essen-Rostock-hut in Maurertal. At this altitude tour only experienced hikers should venture.

 

Starting point is the Matreier Tauernhaus (1512 m), Access south of the Felber Tauern.

    About Galtenscharte (2873 m) Bonn-to-hut Matreier (2750 m, 4 H),malpine transition, often up into the summer steep snow fields, More information from the lodge hosts

    Ins Timmeltal to Eisseehütte (2521 m, 3 Std.) und über die Zopatscharte (2958 m) the locust lodge (2121 m, 3 Std.)
     
  • 6. Day:
    About Türmljoch (2790 m) to Essen-Rostock-giant (2207 m, 3 Std.), Descent through the Maurertal after Ströden (1403 m, 1.5 SHm

    Of the Essen-Rostock-hut on the Röggentörl (3058 m) to Clara hut in Umbaltal (2038 m, 5 H)m This stage takes over glaciers with columns, Alpine glacier equipment and experience necessary!
